Why do we compromise? Why do we tell ourselves 'this is ok, because ______'?? Why do some people call themselves 'Christians' when they lead a life that breaks Christ's heart...lives that are a disgrace to His name. And, above all, why do we settle for being SO much less than what God has called us to be?!?
At some point we have to quit kidding ourselves and really ask ourselves if we are true disciples, or just deceived, delusional, LOST sheep...are we living the life Jesus Christ called us to in the Gospel? If we're not, we are perishing...and the sad thing is, we don't seem to care because the WORLD, our polluted society, tells us we're 'happy'. Being a drunken, sexually immoral person without integrity is 'OK' according to the world because 'life is too short' and we should 'work hard and play hard'! What a bunch of lies!!! Do we want to be on the judgement seat before God, explaining our actions to Him, with this kind of wisdom?? To say that it will be embarrassing is a vast understatement...lest we forget, the devil never ceases in his attempts to pull us down into the sinfulness of this world, desperately trying to seperate us for ETERNITY from God!
Is it all worth it? Is straying from God's CLEARLY defined path worth it??...the sinful life is never fulfilling. And the epedimic of depression, divorce, and suicide is a testament to this.
